This Association is a non-profit distributing society, objects of the Association are as follows :
- To facilitate contact and inter-communication among members of the Association and between the Association and other academic bodies/ organizations and to provide a forum for the members of the Association for exchange of experience, information and views :
- To hold Annual Re-Union in co-operation with the past and present students of the Department of Botany, University of Kalyani, Kalyani-741235, Nadia, W.B.
- To publish an Annual souvenir on the occasion of the Annual Re-Union, containing articles, activities of the members of the Association in India and abroad,
- To assist students and scholars of the University and members of the Association in their academic pursuit and professional careers,
- To promote the overall development of the alma mater,
- In furtherance of the aforesaid objects and the aim of the Association, the Association shall be competent
- to raise funds by subscription, donations, aids, gifts from its members and other individuals and organizations and by such other means to be decided by the Executive Committee;
- to invest the money of the Association not immediately required, in such manner and upon such securities, as may from time to time be determined. And decided by the Executive Committee;
- to hold meetings, conferences etc. and organise lectures, seminar and social gatherings;
- to publish souvenirs, News letters, Journals and occasional reports and notifications,
- to institute scholarships, award, prizes etc. and employ persons on salary/remuneration or without salary/remuneration;
- to frame rules and regulations and modify or rescind the same from time to time and
- generally, to do all that which may assist in, conducive to or be necessary for the fulfillment of the above mentioned objects and in the interest of the Association.
